WCVB NewsCenter 5 - Boston App Reviews

Thought this was a public service whose mission was to provide news and weather to its viewers. Having to watch an add to see any of it preposterous! This is a bad app that got worse at the expense of you users. Ill delete the app and get my news elsewhere.

I always watched WCVB when I lived in Plymouth. The app makes me feel Im right there again even though Im in Tennessee. Your breaking news always comes in before AOL. Thank you!

I use your app practically every day. Breaking News and Weather. I watch your news channel when I can. You are my preferred news station. Keep up the good work. And thank you.

The app isnt bad, but every time it launches, an ad pops up that you have to close...annoying!

This app is great. Keeps you up to date with happenings in your area. Love it.

Every video has a commercial that you cant skip...even if its an ad for this news channel. And if the video wont load, which it frequently wont, you have to watch the ad again. This is a news app, we shouldnt have to be inundated with commercials.

It was better before then they changed it to all videos. Not good now.

I like the updates and news at my fingertips, but I hate the ads in the videos. The videos do not rotate and often immediately stop. Then you are forced to watch the same ad again in order to watch the video.

New app so much worse than old. Hate the ads. Would rather wait for the news on tv. Am going to try channel 7

Was quick, simple and easy to use before this update. Harder to navigate now, and the ads are annoying, so many of them and so huge, they take up the whole screen. Will use USA Today, theyre still basic and simple. Too many ads!!

Used to be my go to app for local weather. But now it keeps crashing whenever I use the interactive radar function. I have freed up memory but does not seem to help. I will now look for an alternative.

The new version is hard to follow, with repeating stories in different sections and way too many commercials.

I like this app very much because I get my local, national, and international news in a timely matter.

Very tired of the ads. Now there is a FULL screen splash ad!!! There are less ads on free game apps! As others stated video ads are very annoying. Even the self promoting ones. Finding myself starting to use other news apps that have less ads. Come on WCVB loose some of the ads or youll loose users.

Really struggle to use this app. Used to be so good. With all of the one stars how has it not been redesigned.

Not only did you change your layout from one of the best apps to now the worst of the worst, but now there are full size ads every time I open. You people are clueless

I get a pop up ad often when I open the site. Every video has a 30 second ad before it.
