Still too much on crime and car wrecks. Needs more national and state news at the top.

New app requires to much scrolling. Bigger adds and no comments allowed. This is a pain in the xxx to see latest news. So sorry I updated to this new app. Now looking for another source for local news.

I like that there are more stories posted, however, Ill go to read a story only to find out I have to watch a video clip of it. Previously you had the whole story transcribed now youre forced to watch a clip, which I dont do. Ill watch the news on tv if I want to watch a video otherwise Im usually out and about and unable to watch a video.

Why, oh why, did channel 5 do away with the landscape view? I have a dozen news/info apps and they all offer portrait and landscape views. Terrible step backward for the app. I do 95% of my iPad viewing in landscape mode.

Being forced to sit through a 30 second station advertisement every time in want to watch a video clip is abusive! Ive already made the decision to watch your programming if Im on your site, so why do I have to watch your 30 second advertisement again? Also, if you try to watch 2 clips you have to sit through the advertisement again. I want access to the news fast - in and out! If Im choosing to use your site, dont abuse me.

I expected this app to be much better considering the quality of the news team. I downloaded this app particularly for the weather casts but lately they have been pretty poor. Some are only a few seconds long - whoever is uploading isnt paying close attention and much content has been cut off. Most recently I went to watch a videocast of the weather and it was 10 minutes long and included a few other news segments before the weather even began. Sometimes the weather cast isnt even updated (early mornings). The app was much better in its earlier stages, or with whatever person used to be in charge of updating the content.

1. New format has too many ads. 2. Needs to be updated more frequently during the day. I want to keep abreast of news as they happen. I get more current news faster on Facebook!

Crappy format, poorly organized, too much intrusive advertising, slow to update news, not intuitive. Not consistent with great station!

Way too many ads. Very difficult to navigate. Alerts for stories not in app yet. Why bother with this alleged source of up to date news. Please learn from quality news sites.

I agree with the person Who said "Ive already chosen your app, so why have so many commercials" – when I try to watch your live show, I have to sit through a commercial – missing the news??? And the place to click on the live broadcast should be larger.

This is a very nice app, very nicely done. I lived in Massachusetts for over 25 years and recently relocated to Atlanta for work. I still watch WCVB news every day and this app makes it so easy to watch the news on my iPhone. Thank you guys. Although I have one complaint, why did you stop streaming Chronicle on the app? Please bring it back.

If you tap to watch video first you have to watch commercial the if you turn phone to watch wide view its a 50/50 chance it will work plus hard to navigate through stories

I dont usually take time to write reviews, but with how much I love the tv station, I thought Id let you know how utterly horrible your app is since the update. Ads on EVERY video, ads all over the app. Spelling and grammatical errors any 5th grade student would be ashamed of. I cant get through 2 stories without an error. I would think a reporter would proof read before posting!

5 is the best! I totally trust the information given every day. Nothing is ever left out. The weather is always accurate. Thank you WCVB5!

Well informed

This is the 4th or 5th time Ive complained. No matter what way I try to watch, the website crashes. Im getting tired of complaining. I just cant figure out why WCVB cant fix the website.

At 500 am to have a car dealer SCREAM is more than annoying! Then the news comes on and it cant be heard!! News is the k but the screaming adds that are 10 times louder than the news makes me seek other streaming news that have no adds

Please revert to the old design.

There are lots of news options in Boston, but this app is the most reliable and informative. Theres a reason WCVB is #1 in Boston, and this app follows suit

Well time to change to another app for news and weather. Do not like the format. The amount of ads and the repetition of ads is ridiculous. I dont really have an issue when theres ads around what I read but when I have to plow through news ads and wasted scrolling to read an article, its just not worth it. Seeing the same pictures of the news people, over and over just isnt fair, I know what they look like already. The amount of time it takes to get to a video makes it hardly worth it.
